England Vs New Zealand Match Highlights Today: 1st ODI Match of ODI World Cup 2023

Today World Cup has been officially started on 5 October 2023. First Match was Between England and New Zealand. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first. 

From England side, Jonny Bairstow and David Malan were openers. From England side, Trent Boult came to bowl the first over. 

David Malan was caught out. Catch was taken by Tom Latham and Matt Henry was the bowler. David Malan played 24 balls and scored 14 runs in which 2 fours were included. He played with an average strike rate of 58.33.

Jonny Bairstow was caught out. Catch was taken by Daryl Mitchel and Mitchel Santner was the bowler. Jonny Bairstow scored 33 runs and he played 35 balls. He hits 4 fours and 1 six. He played with the strike rate of 94.29.

Joe Root played a fantastic inning. He played 86 balls and scored 77 runs. He was bowled out by Glenn Phillips.

Harry Brook scored 25 runs with the healthy strike rate of 156.25. He was caght out on the bowl of Rachin Ravindra and catch was taken by Devon Conway.

Moeen Ali was bowled out by Glenn Phillips. He played 17 bowls and scored 11 runs.

Jos Buttler, who is the captain of England Cricket team and also the wicket keeper, played a good inning of 43 runs on 42 balls with healthy strike rate of 102.38. He was caught out on the bowl of Matt Henry.

Livingston scored 20 runs and played 22 bowls. He was caght out on the bowl of Trent Boult.

Sam Curran played 19 bowls and scored 14 runs. He was caught out on the bowl of Matt Henry.

Woakes played 12 balls and he scored 11 runs. He was caught out on the bowl of Mitchel Santner.

Adil Rashid and Mark Wood remained not out. Adil Rashid scored 15 runs and Mark Wood scored 13 runs.

England scored 282 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. Apparently it looked an easy target for New Zealand to chase in 50 overs because New Zealand's Batting is good. 

During this inning, from New Zealand Bowling side, Matt Henry remained the best bowler who got 3 wickets.  Mitchel Santner and Glenn Phillips both got 2 wickets each. Trent Boult and Ravindra both got 1 wicket each. Neesham didn't get any wicket.

New zealand won the match in a decent way. Devon Convay and Rachin Ravindra they built an outstanding inning. They smashed England gracefully. 

Young got out on first ball without scoring any run on the bowl of Sam Curran. 

Devon Conway, what a player he is. He played 121 balls and scored 152 runs in which 19 fours and 3 sixes are included. He built this beautiful inning with good strike rate of 125.62. 

Rachin Ravindra, a very young talent. He is an ultimate talent. He played in a very decent way. He played 96 balls and scored 123 runs in which there are 11 fours and 5 sixes. His strike rate was 128.13. It was his first match in any ODI World Cup. He is a real diamond talent. 

New Zealand Chase won the match in just 36.2 overs with loss of just 1 wicket.

Shadab Khan Praises Rohit Sharma's Six Hitting Ability

 

Shadab khan, an outstanding Pakistani All Rounder, is a Vice Captain of Pakistan Cricket Team. In a Press Conference in Hyderabad, He praises Rohit Sharma as well as Kuldeep Yadav.

 In the Press Conference, He told the Media Persons that all batsmen are very good but i personally feel Rohit Sharma is the toughest batter to bowl when he gets himself set up on the pitch.

He admired Rohit Sharma alot. Shadab Khan has given us a reason to think why people call rohit sharma "The Hit Man". With Rohit Sharma, Shadab Shan also admired Kuldeep Yadav current bowling form as well. 

Talking about the brilliant current bowling form of Kuldeep Yadav, Shadab Khan told media people that he is also a leg spinner but Kuldeep Yadav is going to be a lethal bowler in this world cup.

He further told media persons that indian people have given them a warm welcome to their country. They are enjoying alot.

Hospitality and food in the hotel is very good. They are enjoying it.

India and pakistan are going to face eath other in the cricket ground on 14th october in Ahmedabad. 

Shadab Khan pointed to this day and said they are hoping the same warm welcome and love from indian people on 14th october in Ahmedabad too.

Talking about his recent form, Shadab Khan said he knows his recent form is not good but he has the skill.

He said he knows when he wears green shirt, people from pakistan have great expectations from him. He said he will deliver whenever he will get his form back. 

As we know he is a Star Pakistani All Rounder. In the press conference, he talked like a superstar and he didn't feel shame praising Rohit sharma and Kuldeep Yadav. We all cricket fans appreciate Shadab Khan for being a true cricket lover.
